Hi there, I’m Melissa!

I’m a creator and copywriter with a background in education and gardening, and I would love to help you tell your story. Whether it’s designing curriculum, writing engaging content for your blog or newsletter, or collaborating on a campaign to guide customers through the buyer’s journey, I am here to meet your needs. My research prowess, adaptability, and writing and editing skills help me create powerful copy that connects your audience to the story you want to tell.

My professional background is as eclectic as my bookshelf. I put myself through college working for one of the original email marketing firms and then for the advertising department of a local newspaper. After graduation, I spent more than a decade teaching high school language arts and ESOL in an immersive, remote program for Chinese students learning English. In between, I served as an essay rater for the SAT through the Educational Testing Service.

In 2022, I was able to move on to follow my true passion, writing. As a copywriter, I have produced more than 900 articles and handled some minor social media management. I’m presently enrolled in the Google Digital Marketing & E-commerce certification course, where I am continuing to do what I love most, learning. As I expand my knowledge base and add digital marketing to my skill set, I would love to work on relevant campaigns. I am also available for curriculum design and creative copywriting.
